I did find last night there is a fine line where the aperture really starts to effect your shutter speed. Think it was around a 10f stop. At 2.8 its crazy fast but its so much light the lighter colors are bleached out. Played with the WB too finding sunlight and tungsten lighting seemed to give the best results.

Sandy - Joe What are you guys using?

you can set the white balance (camera, not lens....I know) by taking two white coffee filters and covering the lens, then pointing it up directly at the lights and "set" the WB...I can't do this with my camera, but it works well to provide an accurate set of ambient light values for the processor.

Thumbs up

Not trying to steel this thread but as a reference. I took Matt's recommendation on setting the white Balance. The colors are deffinetly more realistic. Check out the color in these pics.

So I really recommend setting your white balance before taking pics. I also used 1600 iso also.

Your 1600 ISO could have a factor on why your WB was off too. Has a tenancy to grain up your pictures too. I shoot between 100 and 400 for corals. 600 to 800 for fish. With my build I havent had much time to shoot more pictures but as I play with it I'll keep you guys clued in on what I'm using. Most of those ones I took were shot on aperture priority with a f-stop of 4-8.
