I can assure you that no one would make fun of the fact that the fish is upside down... But, this is one that maybe Matt from OTP could answer... I used to have amazon cichlids but, that picture does not tell me much as it doesn't show anything about what could be wrong... About the only thing that I could/can think of is maybe it has a bladder infection (this is quite common in cichlids) and something that is difficult to take care of. A bladder infection would also explain why all of your fish are having issues at the same time because once one gets it they typically all get it... If someone has a different idea please chime in but, that's my best guess... http://www.wiscichlidforum.com/ is a good place to ask this question as well btw... I used to belong to this forum before I got heavy into SW... There is a LOT of expertise here...

Hope this helps bud.

the thing is that is has only been one fish at a time. one would look sick so i grab it out and put it in a tank by itself all the rest are fine that fish would die from whatever it is that is wrong and another one would start loosing color and no eating and then i would find it at the bottom of the tank still breathing but not realy moving and all this happens over a night or two

other then the fish losing its color, are there any other physical symptoms of illness, protruding eyes, flared scales, missing fins.

Have you tested your water to see if there are levels of ammonia or nitrite, as these toxins are harmfull to fish.

My thoughts, and only because i dont see much other then loss of color, and its a pic, you might have some form of internal infection. I would start feeding your fish medicated food, which matt at OTP should have some of.

I would post your water params and that will help us a bit more, otherwise visit matt at OTP, corner of clinton and caledonia street, and he should be able to hook you up with proper meds and advise.

Good luck.
