well I did it
Well after some debate I broke down and tried it. I have fragged 3 heads off of the duncun. 2 have opened back up tonight. I need to find a better tool then the dremel for that guy. the skeletal/heads on it are so darn close. there wont be anymore ready for awhile though. Now I will just have to wait and see if it all recovers.

Awesome Aaron.. Glad to hear that you made the attempt... It is such a cool looking coral and I'm pretty sure there is a list of people that want a frag so if all works out I think you'll be in good shape.
After talking with Dustin about the Blasto's I think I'm going to frag my micro's into a few different chunks as it's about 3-4" around and has begun to grow to some of my larger pieces now. This way I also might be able to make some trades with it in the future.
I'm also going to frag my main purple tip acro again (seeing it's getting very big and has completely covered the frag plug already) lol

Well it's always nice to frag a piece and know that if the fragging of it does succeed that you will at least have a market for it. And I knew that there would be some demand for it as it is such an unusual coral.
I'll take one someday (probably after I am forced to get a larger tank due to lack of room in my current one. (I can honestly say when I started this hobby I never thought that I would EVER EVER EVER outgrow a 125 gallon tank) lol.

lol I saw one today that didn't have as many heads as mine and they were asking $179. this is one that the price can really range on. in the cites I have seen higher but more heads. the skeletal was more spread out to. ... much easier to cut.

Glad to hear that it wasn't super terrible to frag up and cut. So far how are the colonies doing as far as recovery is concerned?
I've convinced myself that the micro's will be fragged in the next few upcoming weeks (whenever I feel that I'm brave enough to finally get it overwith).

...'from far down the list'......WOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Good luck. Hope the xenia is doing better! The rbta is doing GREAT
It is insane how much they can charge for them. I have been looking on RC, but I can't justify the shipping price of an individual coral. Someday

xenia is doing good. in fact in I think its starting to look a little more blue. My other xenia is making a good comback also. last week when everyone say it,,, it looked like crap. the stub has all kinds of hands growing out of it now.
I'm glad to hear the rbta is doing well. yes its amazing on prices sometimes. But they wouldn't sell it at that price if they couldn't get it
