Glad to hear its coming back around. The whole process that went on is still a mystery to me. I have had to use a 3 day blackout on cyano b4 but hopefully just adjusting the nutrients will do the trick

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

glad to hear that DJ...
I've also used the 3 day blackout, but for algae. It did result in much clearer water & helped knock down algae/cyano. Better polyp xtension on lps for a bit.

Wait a couple of days then do the 3 day blackout. You've moved it so much give the corals a chance to settle down. UNLESS the cyano is crazy on your stuff. But with the levels going down and you getting some new items at the meeting give it a couple of more days. JMO

It's looking better and better for the bears to get to the playoffs. Vikes have one of the hardest schedules for the last 3 games... Green Bay has one of the easiest but is already 3 games behind minnesota and 2 behind Chicago. It's not like it matters as none of the teams from our division is even going to win a game in the playoffs lol..

agreed with OTP Matt...over use can stress corals, and if already stressed it might not be in your best interest.

Just when you do your water changes make sure and suck out as much of it as you can. Ohh and matt dont worry about that I think I may have to start cheering for the viks if the pack keeps playin the way they are. I cant beleive I just said that.

my fish did fine, though I did have a carpet surfer (blenny), but can't blame it on the blackout.

i done the "blackout" when i first started with SW in my 30g......worked great....but like said i dont want to really attempt it again with the cleaners only comin out during the daylight and then like what was mentioned...the already stressed corals......between what i bought and what i already have...they are all stressed to some extint........

im suckin the suff outa the tank but i know thats not gona completely get rid of it......

its not terrible right now......but over the past week it has spread a lil bit....its staying mainly on the rock.....not going into the sand....

if i have to ill buy some red slime out or what ever but not to up to adding chemicals to the tank just yet.....
