Alright... Well, the car will be packed in about 5 mins so I'm going to head off your way then Josh. I just thought about it... Do you want me to bring those ric mushrooms with me? Otherwise I'll wait until the next time we see each other.
Jas
If you get this in the next 5 mins give me a call to grab them. Otherwise I'll assume no.

Well, it took longer than I figured it would... But, we got the "tank" plumbed... It was getting too late to get the skimmer plumbed in... But, sounds like Josh is going to take off work tomorrow and get that all finished up.
I figured that I would post this up seeing that I had noticed he hadn't quite gotten to it yet =).
I will say that his return from the tank to the sump really moves some freak'n water!!!! I want 2" lines now in mine... *thinking.... second thought I'm pretty happy with what I have now as I don't want to go through all that conversion AGAIN* lol

Josh, I think I FINALLY figured out a way to keep the stuff out of the becketts of our MR skimmers... It was something that I already had laying around from mounting some of my frags... It was a simple high flow option that doesn't cost probably more than $3... A pair of women's leggings around a plastic crate (purchased from walmart)... I ran the draw tube through one of the leggings and had the block completely covered. I'll have to see how it does over the upcoming weeks but, just from the way that it is doing now I have VERY high hopes for this to keep those pesky becketts clean!!!!

Josh,
I hope the finale went well...sorry I had to leave just when things were getting exciting. I would have loved to be there for the cheer when the water started to flow!
I'll wait to hear an account from you, but I thought things went pretty well when I was there...and only hope that making the final connections went smoothly. You will love having the noise downstairs I think. Did your critters make the transition ok? can't wait to see pictures!

Josh did tell me on the phone that the one blenny that you guys found in the bottom of the tank while dumping the water did not make it... Must have been just too much stress on it. Sad... But, hopefully that's the worst of the damages.

slight up date before I go give my kids some much deserved attention.
My combtooth Blenny (King Lurky) did not make it pretty bummed, have had him for quite a while. Everyone else is good. Some corals are pretty po'd. The seabae is starting to open.
My pump for the MR2 was doa so I ended up using my eheim, now I just have to get a ball valve for it as the pump is too powerful.
I would like to thank everyone that helped out, Matt, Timmy, and Jason. Especially Jason for putting in all that time and getting in trouble with Jen, Tell her I am sorry I could not have done this move without you guys, if you ever need help with a move I am your man.
I have yet to start aquascaping as I want to wait to get the skimmer going so it can suck out the crap. Pics coming tomorrow!!

update
Well here is an update:
Everyone is looking great except for my electric crocea, he was secured to a rock and I moved him up towards the top to get him closer to the light and the flow fromt he return ripped him off the ledge Can't tell if it is a hunk of bysall threads or threads plus foot, I moved him onto the sand bed for now and he opened right up, but I have a bad feeling that he may be on his way out.
I also lost some of the new frags I got at the reef meeting the plugs got lost in the rock and are now probably buried under sand and rock, sucks cuz some were the nice Zoas.. Note to self keep frag plugs separate from rest of rock when doing a tank move.
I rearranged all the rock work and it is looking pretty good now. Not what I was hoping for but it is looking nice, I really wanted a large mound of rock covering up the overflow then slanting down to the right side of the tank leaving a nice bare sand be to place LPS and clams on, oh well.
I am really glad I painted the back of the tank black it seems to add to the depth plus ugly wires are covered up and the black background mixed with the 3-4 inch black sandbed that I have seems to make the colors "pop" pretty good.
I have the MR2 up and running and as of last night I was getting some major foamage and a "nice" nasty bit of green/brown gunk collecting. So I think that is getting dialed in, Jason do you think that my PCX pump is ok and it was just how the plumbing was ran that the pump could not prime?
My wife was looking at the tank last night and said, " I hate to say it, but I like the new tank a lot better"! She thinks it looks great so that is very cool. I will try and get pics up tonight.

major bummer on the clam, and the zoos. You did have some nice ones. Perhaps they'll show up growing through the rockscaping. Great that the skimmer is now making some nasty...that's gotta be a good feeling to have it finally up and running. How is the noise issue? Did you make some of the gurglebusters? That is soo great that the little woman (never tell her I called her that) likes the new tank...I bet it makes you proud of all that work. I'll be in touch sunday night about ordering some livestock monday/tuesday.

Clam still looks good as of right now, who knows maybe it will make it. And I thought that about the Zoa's myself, that they could just pop up out of nowhere, considering that I found those greens shrooms I did not even know I had during the move
I think Cruiser was interested in ordering with us also, I will let you know.

Well I'm glad that things are coming around for your tank Josh. Remember zoa's are pretty tough little buggers and as long as they can get SOME light you should be fine. I guess you'll just have to cross your fingers and who knows sometime when you move your tank again LOL J/K... (or am I?) you might find a huge colony growing Under the rock.
