Actually in all honesty I would have to have a darn big bubble king to run my setup and an even bigger one to run the one I have planned out... (I'm just watching the dollar signs go through my head over what a BK skimmer on a 600-1000 gallon system costs)

I don't think I have ever seen a skimmer like this before... What brand and what does the maker say is max rating?

oh, the girl is not included, and you'd probably need a full-sized pickup to carry it.

sadly, the pict is not my skimmer, but a BK elite 5000 I think...about 3x3 feet, could skim all of Sparta...
I'm running a BK 160, which does a fantastic job...though I wish I could actually carry a big enough bio-load to push it...gotta get a bigger tank!

Ha- good question. I got it for cheap from someone with no clue. I'm either gonna figure out what pump to use or skip it all together and get a nice new skimmer.

You are welcome to give the ATB Eheim meshwheel a shot...it's a fantastic pump, but have to see if the flow works with the skimmer body. If it works, then you're good to go, if not, you're not out any $.
