Here's what I use for resizing pics.
If you're running XP or older, go to Microsoft.com, downloads. Search "image resizer". There will be a whole mess of links down the right-hand side. Find "image resizer" and download it. It only takes like a micro-second, so you don't have to keep hitting it. (a voice of experience )
Now, to shrink a pic, you right-click on the name of your pic file and in your menu will be "resize pictures". Pick the size you want your picture to be and poof, there it is, saved as "image.jpg (small)"
Hope this helps, though there seems to be some kind of issue with uploading photos tonight as I can't post any right now at all.
Your build thread is sounding good. Can't wait to see those pics!

Do I need another program to run the image resizer? I just downloaded the file you mentioned and all I have access to is the readme file... So, I'm just curious.

same problem for me, only thing i can think of is we chose a different link then she did.
When i was resizing my pic's your way, Jason, the size (width and length) were what the website needed and it still said exceeded quota, so its possible that the website was going through an issue with pic uploading as was mentioned.
the minute i get the pics ordeal figured out, ill have a whole mess of photos for everybody. As of now the corals are back in the tank, I lost me beloved flame angel to ICH. I had him isolated due to the outbreak with two skunk cleaners, but still lost him, moved the shrimp back to the 55 were the rest of the fish are, fine as i can tell.

Y'all are going through so much work to resize photos when Photobucket is free and easy... Seriously, I don't know how you can put up with TRT and its inherent inability let you upload a decent number of pictures without getting error messages about the size of your uploads and such... I'll never use anything other than Photobucket again--it's a godsend for the easy posting of pictures to TRT. And it's free and super simple.

i just like being able to see the pics right away without going through photobucket and such. the program that i downloaded works great, there just no way to select what size to make your pics. Its a one size fits all program and thats what causing me the issue.
Jason, do you know of a way to get it too let your select the size to make the photo?

well an update, its been about 2 weeks since the rock all went back into the tank (with a few corals that were starting to die). Everything is going awesome, algae has already come and gone and the sand is a nice white color. Wow not used to this. I also spent this restart time to breakout a glass divider and make that compartment bigger and taller. This gave me a constant level of water for the skimmer so that is operating up to par now, and i must say, doing one heck of a job as well. over the course i have been testing ammonia and nitrite daily with a brand new salifert test kit and everything has been zero. I was concerned about stability, but after looking at 90% of my corals look like they've been out of the water for a week, i decided it was time to start adding corals. as of today everything is still 0. Now its wait and let the coral regrow, buy some reactors for phosphates and carbon, and finish my sump and fuge area, and get my fish added within another week or so. Im excited that now, ill be able to actually do and keep up on water changes to prevent this massive algae outbreak from happening again. thats enough for today, ill work on getting some pictures up for everybody. thanks for reading.
