The reality is that there's no perfect way to post photos here, but I prefer Photobucket because I just never delete stuff I upload there... Then I just use the IMG links to my pictures and I'm worry-free!

I don't think there is a limit to the number of pictures here... I have almost 25 megs worth uploaded and I am still going.
I don't think you can even delete them.

Well, I somehow found a way to not be able to upload any more pictures on here until I deleted some of my pictures. And yes, it took me a few minutes, but I found out how to delete them. But, I must say, after the ordeal I immediately started using Photobucket full-time.
I'm sure I had more than 25 megs worth of pictures, since I always uploaded the biggest possible pictures with the most detail...

well tank is full and running, have around 15lbs of rock in there now to kick off the cycle, shrimp are also added, i expect them to be pretty well rotten by friday and after that is all about waiting the levels down, adding the rest of the rock, doing a water change and then start adding my corals a few a day untill there all back in there. This change has killed several of my coral including SPS so this needs to work until im better suited to break down a 120 without losing any corals and fish, although i havnt lost any fish so thats a good thing.

nope, its a great method. I use it to cycle all my tanks. Another upside to this as well is that you can kind of control the amount of initial ammonia produced. the more shrimp, the more ammonia. Because my tank will have 2 year established live rock, i want more ammonia, to get an efficient cycle. I'm not sure if he mentioned this or not, but id put the shrimp in nylons or filter bags or something, as this will help prevent the shrimp from falling apart when you go to take them out of the tank.

So here is another newbee question, how many of the shrimp should I have put in the tank. Just a little nervous so I only dropped 1 in. No change in the water yet.

lol for my system i used 7 lol. But as i said, i needed enough ammonia to get an efficient cycle. Although for the total amount of water you have, 200 gallons roughly, id shoot for around 7 as well. Are you using cocktail shrimp?? Cocktail shrimp usually work the best, and you should start to see an increase of ammonia within about 3 days or so, and then once ammonia hits a level you like, remove the shrimp and let the nitrogen cycle do its job.

i give up. I resized pictures the same way i did my test picture and im still exceeding quota. I have it down to 1% the size of a pin head and its still to big. If i mess with the size in attributes, it cuts out half of the picture instead of resizing it

lol yeah it could, snails are rather hardy though and sometimes if they hide in the sand, they may not be affected. What you could do is place the snail in a clear jar with tank saltwater and keep a lid on it, let it sit in the tank, and change some water every other day. this will continue to give him food, while at the same time preventing the ammonia from killing him. the reason for being in the tank with the lights is to grow algae inside the container. Ive performed this method before and seems to work well, just be sure to use new water for water changes, not water from the tank, or its pointless lol
