So before I found this....Now I found this?
So right before the Eauclaire double meeting, I found a small snail with a protruding head.
I found a guy on reefcentral selling them as Nano Conches......so whoever it was that thought it was a Conch, you were right. Never seen them before.
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...readid=1550261
Now if anybody could give me an idea of this new guy. Looks like a sundial of some sorts? Non reef safe? Anything?

forgot to add......about eraser size. bright magenta too

I think it's a zebra and I agree no good at all for a reef tank. I would personally remove it from the tank before you can't find it.

Really? No good? This looks an awful lot like the gazillion little snails running around my tank. I sure hope I don't have to find them all! Can you tell me why do you say they're bad?

yeah there a common guy to have. No problems. But if you feel better pull it. I'd check the tank late at night with the actinics on they usually come out more then. You probably have alot more then just the one is my guess

Thanks everybody. I agree with Collonista snail. At least its good to "know" what it is being in there. I see that they only get to about 1/4", which is about the size of this one, which is suprising I haven't seen it before. I have seen a few others, but all about 1/16" or so, very tiny. I stare at the tank oh say........4 hours total a day or so.
New in the works.......a 180.....stay tuned....delivery this next Saturday......and a 1320# sand pile coming with it.........stay tuned on that too

dude...you better be putting that sand under a bed of concrete, or at least in a tank that is on a slab of concrete...or have the tank that Jason is only dreaming of (for now)

Roughly 3pm Saturday. yeah, thankfully he has a 3/4 ton truck!
Of the 1320lbs of YARDRIGHT caribbean, I am only keeping about 300lbs roughly, soooooo.....Whenever I get a total of what is coming (not sure if he can for sure fit it all in his truck, but if not, I am going to pick the rest up) I will be make available for those of you that have still a want for it without paying $.80/lb if you can find it.
And yes, the new tank is going to be on a slab of concrete....no more sleepless nights!

Just a bucket full? How big of a bucket ya got?
Jake: Everything will be in 40lb bags, so I will probably be selling in 40 lb intervals. As long as a 180, stand, skimmer, ca reactor, a bunch of bulbs, salt, and 33 bags fit in a 3/4 ton truck, we will be set!
