Reef Safe Fish/ Frags?

I recently got lights up and running and added some fish to my tank... Now i am trying to add some more REEF SAFE fish and come coral to the aquarium. I currently have a false percula, a yellow wrasse, a firefish goby, a green clown goby and a pepermint shirmp. I dont have any coral yet but would like to add some soon. I have Compact Lighting at 260 Watts on a 55 gal tank... If anyone has any fish that would be compatible with the ones i have already that they would like to part with let me know, ill consider just about anything. I would also like to get some frags, so if anyone has any that my lighting would be sufficient enough to maintain, please let me know... again i would consider just about anything.

Thanks alot!

Well, there are a lot of us that have different types of leathers, mushrooms, zoa's, and other soft corals that would do o.k. under pc lighting. Due to your pc lighting though you will be limited primarily to that as far as corals though (there are some really nice looking softie tanks though!!!) as the stony corals typically need more intensive lighting conditions.

If there is a time where you are in the Sparta area feel free to stop on in and I could show you what all I have otherwise there are a lot of guys/gals from the club that do live in LaCrosse/Onalaska/Holmen.

Well, depending on a persons taste you can get star polyps (just about everyone in our club has them so they are quite plentiful), yellow polyps, zoanthids, most if not all leathers, most xenia's, almost all mushrooms, some people have even said they can get hammer coral, and frogspawn to grow but, I personally do not recommend this as it's not technically meeting it's lighting requirements. So, it's hard to give you a straight forward answer as there are literally 100's of 1,000's of different options you could do! Heck there are 100's of different things you could get from our club alone that would more than likely do well in your tank under your current lighting.

Well, as I said almost all of us have some frags for sale on hand (typically not more than $5-$10/frag). I know that I have a few leathers that I fragged off of my mother colonies last week (2 pieces of a Green Leather, and 1 piece of my Devil's Finger) I also have a few Kenya Tree's that I could just give to you if you wanted (freebe's as they grow like crazy for me). I have Green Star Polyps ($5) for a nice sized piece, Yellow Polyps ($5) and a nice selection of mushrooms most of which are $5. I'm sure I have more myself but, would have to look as I don't keep a ton of softie frags on hand but, typically keep a bunch of sps frags (fragged some this evening as a matter of fact). But, I can guarantee that others have other stuff available and some of the same stuff that I have (typically for the same price) just keep in mind that most everyone is not looking to make a profit we're just trying to support our ADDICTION to the hobby we all love.

Well, it's easy to get to my house from West Salem (as I used to work at Beyer Cabinets IN West Salem). Simply take HWY 16 to Sparta turn Left at the 2nd set of stop lights, turn Right on Jefferson St. (2 blocks after the lights) and my house is 504 Jefferson (if you get to the church on the right side you've gone too far lol).

As far as times to meet... I'm home from work at 4 p.m. each night so just about anytime is fine with me.

And yes I know EXACTLY what it feels like to be first starting out (which is where I was about a year and a half ago).

Sure did... I've been trying to get the frags to take to the rock pieces I had but, they still haven't done so... But, yes I have made the frags at least. =)

Sure will let you know... I know for a fact that the one I'll be only asking $5 for as it's smaller but, the other I might ask $10 (a lot depends on what it looks like when it finally takes as I'm trying that nylon technique that Dustin's buddy suggested. I only wish I knew how long it is supposed to take for them to finally begin to attach).
