Red bubble things

Does anyone know what they might be? The come back 2 times a year it seems. I got them on one piece of coral from someone and I don't know if there good or bad. Last time they just seemed to grow and then maybe burst? This time I pulled them off and the were slimy inside. I ended up chucking the little frag it was on. But tonight I saw there were a couple on a different rock so I removed them.

First off, since you are asking me, did you get it off of a coral you got from me? I've never seen any in my display area, but I do have some Botryocladia skottsbergii (a.k.a. Red Valonia) in my sump area. It is a red bubble algae that fish typically love, but it can become an annoyance in some tanks. Some people see it as a good thing because they can use it to feed their fish and others see it as a bad thing. I've seen a fish store over in Rochester trying to sell it once.

lol sorry yeah. It was on the little yellow coral that I got from you the first time. when it grows it grows quickly in my tank. Its kinda nice looking but I wasn't sure what it was but I thought now I would ask. Thank you for your help.
