'Pods at July Meeting?

Hello all,

I'm looking to boost the 'pod population in my remote refugium. Do any of you happen to have some chaeto bursting with pods and other life that you could spare a small amount of at the meeting on Saturday? It would be much appreciated. Let me know.

Thank you,
Joe

Thanks, Chris. I'm working up to a Mandarin soon, but I just can't seem to get my pod count to the point where I'm willing to put such a demanding fish into my sps tank. I may have to order a few "starter bottles" of the Tiger Pods or similar.

My chaeto usually has a bunch of pods in it as well. If I remember, I can bring a little as well for you Joe. Getting the chaeto from multiple tanks may give you different types of pods.

Thanks Brian, the more the merrier. My remote 'fuge is jam packed with chaeto, so while I'm thinning it out tonight, I'll just yank out some extra so there's room for a few small clumps to fit in there. Reminds me, I should siphon the debris off the bottom of that container tonight and throw some more rock rubble in for the 'pods to hang out in.

(green with envy) :-)

That's the point I'm hoping to reach at some point, but I've yet to get my pods to "take off" in my 'fuge or tank...

The pods that I have are really hard to see. I stock mine with the really small pods, like the ones that mandarins eat. I also have lots of the bigger pods as well, but I try to keep mine well stocked with the smaller pods.

I'll bring some Chaeto for Joe too, I bought from out of state then mixed with others found locally.

Thank you to those of you who gave me some 'pod-laden chaeto. I ordered two bottles of Ocean Pods last night, which should be shipping out on Monday and arriving on Wednesday. Those, plus the live goodies in the chaeto given to me yesterday, will go a long way toward helping get my 'pod population high enough to sustain a mandarin long-term someday. Hopefully they'll get to the point in my 'fuge where I can give away chaeto loaded with pods to those who might need it!
