I agree Jason, there will be a lot of flow lost, but all that is needed is flow, not volume. The frag tanks will share the supply, but not the flow. Cary...this looks well planned out, and I too hope it does what you plan it to...which is ...
Taking over that side of the river??? Usurping Jason's frag-opolis status? Bumping OTP out of the running for most tanks under a roof? World domination??? WOW, makes my puny 20g frag setup seem ...well.. puny

Yeah but your looks nice Matt, I am just getting to a point where I want to actually grow my corals out a bit more before I sell them...I don't mind cutting them and selling them right away but it would be better if they have better growth before I sell them, and like right now my little frag tank is completely filled, 0 percent room to put anything else in so I definitely need more room can everyone say Aquacultered best thing for this hobby...

I don't even qualify for the frag-opolis status anymore because I do not even have a frag tank anymore. My former frag tank has become tranformed into a chaeto growing tank. So, just by Cary starting ONE tank surpasses my frag-opolis status *deep sigh* lol.

btw... if Cary could manage to tap into Matt's (oldE matt)water supply then world domination would be inevitiable! lol

I can say that... Not to mention it also keeps the actual ocean's reef less picked at by divers because we as keepers are doing the job of the divers in our own homes. (not to mention it also keeps the cost of the corals down which is always a plus lol)

Couple more pictures.. and I also drilled holes in the rack I made so it doesn't float...

First Spray bar is for the Macro Algae tank, there are holes in both the top and bottom spray bar..hopefully will roll the macro.

Ok second spray bar is for the DSB, will generate a real slow flow over the sand...and it is spread across the width of the tank...

Now hopefully tomorrow I can get the tank put into place, get the pump hooked up and get the "thingamagiggy" hooked up and plug all the ends that I won't be hooking up right away. That means all but the 40 to begin with...., then one the 40 is running will move the frags from the "temp" frag tank into the new one and start getting the 30 gallon down so I can replace that with the DSB tank and the macro tank, even if all the overflows are temporary tubbing that will be fine for now.

Ok enough for now, tomorrow will tell

oh no, and I am going to have to move mine, out of the current refugium into the new new setup.....was thinking about moving it to the new frag tank as that will have some spots lower in the tank...and should be shadowed...maybe I should figure out away to put some of the grey flat pvc on the upper layer to shade some areas....hmmm more things to think about...

Well I moved the frag I did back to the refugium...it started opening better since I have done that...I have found that they seem to like a little more flow, in the refugium if the flow isn't good going on them, they really don't open much...
