PH calibration fluid
Ok stupid question, is there any place in the area that I can get ph calibration fluid of the 10 range? I am guessing no but... I ordered 7 with my controller, did not realize it required a 10 also. Would have been nice if it stated that on the site.

you can overnite it from marine depot if you need to, but even with regular shipping, it will get there in 5 days. Pinpoint has both 10.000 and 4.000 in dditin to the 7.000 pH value. After calibration, you can test your probe function with the meter by doing a borax test.

I'm sure you can also get it through Premium Aquatics, which would get to you a couple days quicker with shipping.

lol
funny thing is I ordered 12 packets of the 7.0 but thought that was all I would need, I should have read more about it. I found a post that said I would just need one not both so I figured "hey would anyone on the internet lie or not know what they are talking about?" well.... I am a moron
I will have to order some 10 solution but until then if I could borrow a packet from someone that would be great!
Have any at work Brian?

No, I don't have much use for it at work, but I can bring a packet in with me some day. Typically, you need to have a 7.0 solution, along with either a 4.0 or 10.0 solution, depending on what you want to use your meter for, so when you read that you only need one and not both, you were probably reading about the 4.0 and 10.0 solutions.
Let me know if you want to get a packet from me so I know when I should bring one to work with me? Any word on the salt and battery backup?

Matt. I will see if Brian can bring some to work tomorrow since my office is pretty close to his. No reason to burn more gas than I need to Thanks though very much!
Brian, do you think you could bring it in tomorrow, i.e wed?

Yes, I can bring some tomorrow (and I'll even try not to forget). I'll be in the office until around noon and then I'll be out all afternoon at meetings so you can either pick it up from me by noon or I can leave it at the front desk for you.

It doesn't matter (for PinPoints at least and most lab-grade pH meters) which standard you use for the slope set, basically all these meters require that you use the 7.000 to set the center for the meter then use a standard that is 3,000 above or below the 7.000 value to determine the slope (the rate of change) for the meter so that it will acurately interpret the variations in the feedback from the probe correctly as pH values.
