Petco Sale & selling my 45 gal tank

FYI - Petco is having their $1/gal sale on tanks up to 55 gal this week. I went there yesterday and bought a 55 gal tank to be used as my sump for my new setup. One of the guys in the store was telling my about how nice of a display the 55 gal tanks are and was asking me what I was putting into it. I told him "saltwater", but didn't have the heart to tell him that it was actually only going to be used as a sump under my main reef tank once he started telling me how wonderful his 55 gal tank is.

Secondly, I have re-listed my 45 gal tank w/ stand/canopy/glass top/standard NO flo light strip for $50 for everything if anyone is interested. Here's the link http://thereeftank.com/forums/showth...24#post1139924

I just went into petco and got a 40 breeder because I cracked my 55 gallon sump will I was moving it. Let me know Brian when you will need help moving your tank, or anything else.

I'll post when/if I need help moving my tank. I hope the 55 doesn't end up being too tall to fit how I would like it to fit under my new tank. Since we plan on having a bar in front of the tank eventually, we are planning on having the tank slightly higher than most people.

lol that would have been funny I think brian. You see I just upgraded from my 24 to a 72. And when I started to do that after seeing everyone elses tanks I can only think man mine is still so small.

You should have told him, I was at petsmart a couple weeks ago and the employee was telling a guy looking at saltwater that he could just use the "gravel" and that would be fine for the tank....

I can still remember how hard it was to convince the wife to let me get a large, 29 gal tank. My "dream tank" was a 125, but I knew that that would never happen. Now I'm moving up to a 210, with a dream of someday owning a 8', 240 gal tank. What do you think it will lead to next? BANKRUPTCY!!! JK
