NWRS Frag Swap 09
Join the Northern Wisconsin Reef Society Saturday, June 20th for an
old fashioned bag FRAG SWAP!
We’re doing it the old fashioned way, and keeping it simple! Bring your frags, swap away, and spend the afternoon with a bunch of reef crazy northerners like yourself!
SCHEDULE:
11-12: Trader Set Up
12-3: Frag Swapping!
3-3:30: Frag Raffle
3:30 – End
$10 table fee for traders.

No its a bag sale just like how MARS starteed theres. You basically take photos of the frag ahead of time and place that photo with the matching bag so people know what it is before they purchase it. Thats basically what I am going to be doing with mine.

ive always wanted to go to just a FRAG SWAP.....thats the part of the meetings i cant wait to get to!!! LOL just to see what everyone is selling and buying.....
maybe if enuff of us here in EC want to go we can setup a car pools or 2....i have an explorer that fits 4 adults comfortably..... |

I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to attend this... I'll have to talk with the wifey to see if we want to get a hotel for the evening or if we'll just drive back the same day like we did for F&S "08".

With all the interst from tradders and vendors we may be changing locations to a larger place and may have to change the day. We didnt think we would get this much interest in it but we were wrong. I will post more information after the meeting this saturday

Personally if I go I'm just going to sell my stuff out of a cooler... The only time I pay to get a table for anything is at F&S frag swap where I'm going to be there for a while. Otherwise if everything is just staying in bags anyhow no real reason for me to pay $10 to keep it on the table.

guess I'm not really following what you are saying... I thought by a table a tank would be setup already... Or is it just that a table to display what a person has available?
Gotta say that a club meeting and having to pay for a table is odd but, each club I guess has their own rules.

Helps raise club funds...usually for "shows" like these they expect vendors to pay as they are getting a return on renting their booth...plus it offsets the hall-rental charge.

This swap will be along the same lines as the MARS swap. It is a club started swap but open for all to attend. Table rent helps cover the rent of the space. From my understanding there will be power available but you need to bring your own tank and water, bags etc. Very similar to the MARS swap.
