New Puppy
I know that this isn't fish related but, I figured that I would explain why I haven't been very active on the boards the last few weeks. Jen has wanted a puppy for quite sometime now and we had been watching petfinder.com for local animal shelters and we found a Female Beagle/Spaniel mix at Coulee Region Animal Shelter (Onalaska next to Gunderson Luthern). Her name is Abby and here's what she looks like (she is only 11-12 weeks old right now)
Now that she's a little bit more used to her new home maybe it wont be as hard to spend 5 mins here and there away from her.

We arent exactly sure if the "Beagle/Spaniel" is all that is there or not. We both believe that she is Beagle/Black Lab as I do not really see the Spaniel part (except for maybe in the muzzle) as labs typically have more of a long "boxy" face. And hers is much shorter than that of a typical one. Other than that she looks EXACTLY like a Black Lab other than her paws are undoubtably beagle paws. Maybe I just don't know enough about spaniels to be able to tell the difference and they are really right. But, unless someone who is really good with breeds can tell me for sure either way I'll never know. All I do know is that she is definately partly beagle lol.

In her litter there were 8 pups (Came from Iowa). The local humane society where they were from was full and they sent the remaining 5 pups up to our local and she was the only one that didn't look exactly like a beagle and also was the only black puppy they had. She was also the largest of the ones remaining and the employees found her to be the boss of her brothers and sister. So, I have no idea what the other 3 looked like as they stayed back in Iowa.

yeah right.... my pup hates my tank, she thinks I hang out with my tank more than her.......Bulldogges! always has a face in the bucket though.
