mag-rocks

This is a take off on what some of us have been doing with magnet mounting in our tanks. I have several rocks that have been glued to magnets, then corals mounted on the rocks, but this is for somebody that wants to have a true "shelf" on the back or side of the tank. Note that these are synthetic rocks (argonite probably) not natural ones. Could be just the thing to add some extra landscape to your tank. Drill a few plug holes and you have a much more scenic grow-out area/frag rack!

I have seen those before and thought they were pretty cool. Hrmm perhaps we could make some of those with our homemade liverock experiment this Spring/Summer?

Oooh, if you guys make this work, I'm going to "order" one from you! AWESOME!!!

I'm thinking a corner one would be really cool. Or one with an "outside" corner to wrap around the front corner of my overflow box.

Hrmmm, if Cary's local guy doesn't work out as far as availabilty or pricing goes I just happen to know the right place to get magnets! lol.. For something like this I'm sure I could even talk to them about coating some of their stronger magnets so that they would be water proofed. I would be up for trying this when we attempt to make our own.

I bought those from a supplier at MACNA this past year - I was shocked - they weigh like nothing! I drilled holes in mine so I could put coral plugs in it! It's great until you need to scrap around it, then it moves pretty easily

When you decide to do the home made version give me a yell, I need to add some height to the back and side walls...

These pics looked really cool.
