cant help ya with the rock joe, but you can get some good dry stuff at OTP for pretty cheap (i think he should still have some, if not he should be getting some in soon). All you do is mix it with a couple pieces of LR (live rock) and the live stuff will seed the dry. Thats what im going to do with my 90, its a heck of alot cheaper the buying all LR. Oh yea, is it Jordan thats settin one up?

Otherwise I got mine from Marcorocks.com and I have been darn happy with the Dry Rock I got in. (Ebay Auction from their company where I bought 150 lbs of dry rock).

yo zach, yeah i can find base rock, i just wanted to get some to start the tank. yeah i got jordan hooked on saltwater now too. keeps him busy, and out of trouble. :x lol anyway. i went in on some with him from dr foster and smith.com we'll see, it was a pretty good deal on the rock, but shipping was just as much as the rock. Still got it for less than 4.00/lbs. so thats still decent. i gave him my strawberry pseudochromis, he was ****ing with my peppermints, and the pistol shrimp i just got. apparently my goby isnt doing a very good job of protecting him.
anyway. thanks and we'll be talkin. if i can get some video of this pistol and goby its pretty cool to see, ill upload a video.
later

I've never been up to Rhinelander to see DFS in-person either, but I'd love to do that sometime! It's a shame there's no get-together there this summer. It's a shame they made it every two years now instead of annually.

Actually, from being there the last two years it makes a lot of sense for them to have it every two years. My first year the economy was doing MUCH better and there were TONS AND TONS of people there. I can say there was a noticeably smaller crowd in comparision to that year before. I think that it had a lot to do with economic issues (would be worse this year) IMHO (In My Honest Opinion).
It is definately a fun time though! From personal experience go there the night before so that you don't have to get up at 3 a.m if you do the vendor thing (I was up at about 1:30 a.m. getting my corals ready). The reason I needed to be up so early was so that I could get to Rhinelander at 7 a.m. as I wanted to make sure I could get a spot on the vendor tables and that's when they opened the doors to the vendors. It just ended up turning into a very long day after being up at 1:30 a.m. and then not getting home until after 8 p.m. (seeing you need to be present to win the door prizes which get drawn at 4:30).

I've been up to Foster and Smiths home store quite a few times, always come back with some nice stuff. Actually Matt (aquaman777 AKA "young Matt") and I were talking about driving up there next week sometime, probly over the weekend. From Lacrosse its about 4 hours or so, in previous trips we just head out there earlier in the morning and take plenty of time to look things over.
The other thing thats nice about going to their home store is that ANY dry goods can be purchased at the location for the catalog or online price with no shipping costs. One of the reasons I drove up there to get my Outer Orbit fixture.

I've been up there twice for the coral swap and the aquaculture facility is nothing short of AMAZING!!! It's like nothing you would ever see again I can just about guarantee to you! If you talk nicely to them they might even let you buy stuff directly out of the tank on the aquaculture tour to escape having to pay the shipping on that as well. A lot of that depends on whether you catch them when the managers are not around lol. =)
