Long-term Tank Design Ideas

Well, it's not for several years but, I'm looking long-term for what I'm going to do when Jen and I decide to build a house. I've already decided that I'm doing an in-wall room divider tank. The tank that I have begun designing is 144" L x 36" W x 14" H. I was planning on doing overflows on one of the short ends of the tank but, I have since been directed in a different idea. The idea that has been brought up is to put the overflows in the center of the tank (where they can be hidden by rock piles) so that there is really nothing shown in the tank except for the tank inhabitants themselves (pump wires and such will be run through this as well).

Here's what I have drawn up. If anyone has any other ideas I would love to hear them (seeing at this time I have a TON of time to plan this out).

them over flows against the glass? or they free standin boxes?? i seen one online that was like 800g and it had 6 free standing overflows......looked pretty cool........they where in the middle of the tank and once the rock work went in they where hidden..........

It should look familiar Brad seeing the boxes were your idea lol...

And yes DJ the boxes are shown in the center of the tank as free standing columbs so that they can be hidden in the rockwork and never seen.

I've seen a few of the center overflow designs, I really like the idea, but am wary of drilling a tank bottom for obvious reasons. I think if I did make a peninsula tank, I would try something like this, with closed loop circulation to get the far end of the tank moving with no equipment at all in the tank...that would be COOL!
