livestock adding question & live aquaria order

I'm planning on a live aquaria order for fish/inverts for Friday of this week. If anyone would like to add to my order and split some shipping they would be welcome.

along that note...does anyone see any issue with adding a small yellow tang and a blue (hippo) tang to my existing system?
existing: 3 pajama cardinals, 1 lawnmower blenny, 1 6 lined wrasse (king of tank) and 1 orange-lined chromis.
I'd like to add 1 small yellow tang, 1 small hippo tang, and 4 small green chromis.

This will certainly max out my fish load
this is on a 90g, 48" tank, 40g sump. Mixed reef with softies, lps, sps, Good filtration & flow, good parameters.
Matt

I had a medium yellow tang in my 75gal when I added a small-ish Hippo tang. The yellow tang was picked on from day one, and a week or two later, disappeared... I had a large purple LTA and a medium-sized RBTA in the tank, and my theory is that the yellow tang was so beat up from the Hippo that he got caught by (most likely) the LTA. I never found a body on the floor, so he had to have died and been eaten by something in the tank...

That said, my experience says it may not be the best idea. However, I know many people keeping multiple tangs of different species in the same tank. So, maybe others can help out with their personal experiences.

I was thinking about placing an order as well, they have a number of fish/shrimp on sale that I need to replace what I have lost over the last couple of months....I have always had really good luck with what I have received from them.

Also, for the last 9+ months I we had a yellow tang and a sailfin in the 125, had added the Powder Blue a couple of months back and I don't think the lose of the yellow had anything to do with the tangs...they all got along great....

My uncle, who owned this tank for 5+ years before me, had 3 yellow and 1 sailfin tang in it. THAT is pushing it for sure, but I hoped that 2 species would be ok, introduced at the same time. The tank is a peninsula with 2 islands in the dead center, so there is a full 4 feet of swimming along each side.

I've never had any problems with a YT and Sailfin tang together in my 125, but that is a 6' tank. Once I get my new tank, I'm thinking about getting a YT, Sailfin, and Hippo. Maybe I've been lucky so far, but the only fish that I have ever seen get aggresive (and stay that way beyond the first couple days after adding a new fish), are damsels and certain types of clownfish. Anyone looking for a pair of tomato clowns or a blue finned damsel?
