Licensed Electrician
Hi all. I'm finishing up my stand and was thinking about the electric outlet locations and looking at how the wiring within the house is done. In order to shut off the lights in the mechanical room behind the tank, two 15A circuit breakers need to be shut off. I'm not an electrician per say, but I know more than just the basics. Wiring is not very complex. Typically you shouldn't need to shut off two circuit breakers simultaneously in order to shut off power to an area. There are a pair of stickers within the outlet box from people signing off on the basement electrical installation and I don't think anything was modified with the electrical work since then so I don't know what has happened. I could try following the wiring myself, but the ceiling and walls are finished in all areas except the mechanical room and I know my wife would feel better knowing that things were checked over.
Does anyone know of an electrician that could check and try to find out what is wired incorrectly, could help with wiring a few new outlets, and would make sure that is a certified installation so we would be covered incase any problems would show up in the future? Any help would be appreciated.
