June Mtg
The next reef club meeting will be June 8th at 3:00 at my place in Holmen. I will post directions in the member's only area soon.
For those of you that either haven't seen my tank or heard about it, my tank is a 220 gal in-wall reef tank with a large fish room behind it. Here is a link to my build thread http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/f2...ad-106265.html . Currently, the front access panel isn't installed, but it will be prior to the meeting.

Haven't you been saying you were going to have that front panel installed for about the last 2-3 months? lol
Anyhow can't wait to see how it all has taken shape as I'm sure it looks nothing like the last time I saw it!

I know, the front panel was supposed to be installed along time ago, but someone else is making it so I have very little control - but it will be installed in time for the meeting. Hopefully, much sooner.

Looking great Brian! Is that your original leather?
also, a question...
Have you ever had the green-electric leather get black "infection" on the tissue? I have a piece from you, but has some necrosis, black along the neck/stem. I cut off a hunk of the diseased piece, and gave a quick soak in iodine, but still have some black. Any thoughts? Nothing new introduced or no changes in the tank (other than Ca reactor going offline)

Yes, it is the same leather that I've had in my tank for years.
As for the green finger, I've never ran into any black (or any other type of) infections on the tissue, but if it is the same as what Aaron had, you may want to cut the infected part off and throw it away.

Looks like a great setup. It's nice to see a big reef that isn't sps dominated.

I trimmed all the black, then some, last week, but it is slowly returning. I may have to trim it way back and see what happens.

that doesn't sound good. Id frag it if you would like to try to keep some of it. thats just my 2 cents. I'm looking at the negative side also but I lost all of mine and it was 2 yrs old. the only thing I did at that time was add a sand bed to my sump.

Same thing happened to mine, no others affected. I cut it way back and 2 small frags have survived about 6 mos but has not begun to really grow.

Rookies!!! J/K. I didn't know that there was three of you that have had problems with that coral fairly recently. I've had it for 5-6 years and never had any problems with it. Mine always grows very fast and looks very healthy. It didn't matter whether I had it low in my old tank under PC lighting or high under MHs. Keep me informed on the outcomes John and Matt. Aaron - didn't I get you a new frag of that coral a little while ago? If so, how is that piece doing?
