January LARK Meeting

Well I decided to go ahead and set the date and time for the meeting, since there hasn't been a lot of responses to the poll and for the fact that I have something else going on the weekend of the 26th.

Meeting will be on January 20th, starting around 1:00 - whenever.

Directions are posted in the LARK member area, if you don't have access let me know and I can send address/directions. I will update with what I have available for frags/equipment in the next couple of days.

If you have questions please let me know.

Thanks
Cary

Sweet, seeing you did it that weekend that means that I can attend! I wont have any frags available unless someone is looking for some Green Starbursts, and if someone REALLY wants one of my Green Candy Canes I might concider parting with one of them. (I have 3 pieces that I'm currently growing out and could possibly part with one). But, that's really all I have at this time seeing I fragged a lot of stuff at the last one.

Also for what it is worth, I plan on going to the MARS frag swap on the 27th so if anyone wants to ride along your more than welcome. If I take my truck the most I can fit is three other people but if I take Robyn's durango then we can probably do 5 others.

Cary, could you hold a devil's finger for me, along with a clove polyp. I'm helping a student get some livestock (cheap softies). He has a total of $25 or so, I thought I might be able to get 4-5 pieces of etc softies. Anyone else have some for a newbie (not me)?

Cary, I'm excited to see your system, I could not make it to the previous meeting at your house. The bar will be open right?

Cary, I've been looking to get a 50-80 watt VHO for my new 20 gallon LONG frag tank. How much are you looking for on that viper? I'm not sure if it's going to be more output than I'm actually looking for or not... But, it might be what I'm looking for? I was actually going to wait to see what Matt at OTP can get at the end of this month for a dual vho (seeing he said he should have a few in) but, if the price is right on your fixture I might go that route *given I can convince Jen*

Tell me what you think bud,

Jas

I'm hoping to be able to attend the meeting, but I still don't know if I'll be around that weekend. I'll try to let everyone know ahead of time if I am going to make it to the meeting incase anyone want me to bring some frags for them.

Matt - When your student is ready for some frags, have him give me a call and come over to my place so he can hand pick some frags. Since he's a HS student, I'll make sure that he doesn't go home empty handed (lot of free frags). I always try to do anything I can to help minors stay on the right path.

Thanks Brian. I too am trying to help him out with some freebies, I know he would be excited to have some new fun things to grow. If anyone else has freebies, let me know (or just bring them along).

Matt, not sure if your student is getting a chunk of galaxia from you or not... But, remember that piece of galaxia you had in that bag from when I sold you the LR? I still have it and it's doing fantastic I just don't have a place to put it in the tank where it's sweepers wont get my corals. If he wants it I'll bring it along for free to give to him. I'm starting to discover how hard it is to keep some corals away from others when the tank is getting more and more full.

Cary, I should be there also, I am excited to see your tank! I want to do the same thing in my basement, Considering most of my free time is spent sitting in front of my tanks it would make sense to have a comfortable bar there I would be interested in the pink star polyps if they have not been spoken for yet.

As usual I am looking for zoa's I love those **** things

Sounds good, if the frags I have are already spoken for I am positive I can cut off some more that day, they grow like weeds, so I have plenty.

Anyone have any extra Chaeto? Mine isn't growing much (ok, at all) and may need some rejuvenation.
