I hear someone needs a big one!
I've heard of the famous Spazz Volcano skimmers, and finally came across this site. Now, someone among us might have a need for a new, big, bad skimmer, and this just might be it! They are relatively local (MN) and I believe that Mary (from stillwater?) knows him. Now this would be a cool fieldtrip...see the cmc, make some custom acrylic pieces.

I have an aquatic acrylics skimmer. A small prototype volcanoe, one of his old skimmers running my tank while my new volcanoe is being built for the 220, oh, and volcanoe Carx on my custom 220 that was also built by Spazz of aquatic acrylics. Scott is a good friend of mine and if you guys wanted to check out the process and see the stuff in action, I could probably facilitate a meeting/mini tour (the shop isn't that big, and we would have to work out a time convenient to Scott as he is a busy, busy man).
Scotts work is top notch and one of a kind. If any of you have the reef central membership check out Stans (Energy) Volcanoe. I think the thread is titled 1700 gallon reef, or something like that. Probably in the large systems forum. It is crazy. I can fit inside of his skimmer

I spend too much time reading online. I thought I remembered your name connected with Stillwater in a thread...do you run a shop there? I have relatives that are there too. I know we've never met...and promise that I'm not a stalker! Brian might vouch for me.

lol, we may have met before. Did you go to davidsreef's meeting in Eau Claire last year? I was the dork doing the demo .
I dont run a shop, just have a couple of tanks and do a ton of fragging. Pretty active in my local club and I like to visit the surrounding clubs too when I can find the time, which doesn't seem to be often since stuckey_t and I took over the club leadership rules. Lots of people equals lots of drama

Mary,
I didn't make it to the EC meeting. Anyway, I've seen lots of your posts etc, and would love to see your setups. It's nice to meet others who are interested in sharing their experience (and frags!) with others. This would be an interesting trip. Maybe in the winter/spring we'll try to set something up, now seems to be a pretty busy time for people.

super busy for me too! My schedule clears out in Feb considerable since I am getting laid off, so anytime in the early spring would probably be perfect

If anyone is interested, the project Scott has been working on for the better part of a year, the St. Judes childrens hospital tank, will be on the Today show this coming Thursday

Thanks Mary,
I'd followed the build on RC for awhile, but forgot that the opening was coming up. A 4foot tall tank?!!! and what, 11 feet long or something like that? UfffDa as they say!
