help please

hey guys thanks for reading this. im moving out of la cross co. at the end of this month. we are moving a little farther south from where we are at now, im not sure of the name of the town we are moving to because its right on the corner of a few places. the address is a Stoddard address its still a lacrosse school district and its right on the line of lacrosse co and Vernen co. there is a sign as your headed to the house saying that your in some other town lol all i know for sure is that i am going to be living just off of county rd k down near goose island. the reason for this thread is that i have a rather large tank and i need help moving it out of one basement and in to another. i have a two year old system that i would like to save as much as i can. i moved all of this once before and it was not that bad but i had to cram everything in to a smaller tank and let the 180 completely cycle all over again if i can avoid doing this again i would love to hear how. i can provide drinks for people that help once it is all moved or have like a brat fry after for anyone that can help let me know how you all have moved your tanks before. let me know what works and what dose not work thanks for your input and help.
Dave

ive always moved and saved as much water as possible. The important thing with saltwater is keeping all of your rock wet, to prevent any die off period. This is usually accomplished by a lot of 5 gallon buckets lol. I then packaged my corals in plastic bags as you would at a fish store. Larger corals got a bucket of there own or whatevet. The bags when into styrofoam coolers for temp control. I also place all my fish in a 5 gallon bucket. I never took the sand out, i always just left it in there with enough water to keep it slightly wet. This adds to weight and with a larger tank, that sucks lol. id say 4 big fellows should be able to move the tank just fine thought. From there its just about getting everything were you need to and set back up. I would recommend to have a backup tank ready for fish, and also so you can pack your coral in there for the first day while your tank settles down. I was never able to avoid a mini cycle and id hate for you to go through all this work, and then end up losing fish and coral. Post on what day your trying to do all this, and ill see if i cant work around my schedule to help out.

well i work until 3 usually, so im done early. I can come right over. I have some buckets as well as a shop vac for the sand if you want. Im also stronger then i look lol I can also hang on to some live stock if you'd like coral wise etc until your tank is ready and what not. If needed just let me know and ill be ready for it.

yeah, i don't think two people going up and down stairs with a 300lb tank is a good idea.

I would help if I could but this weekend I am busy drilling my tanks and moving in a 150. the weekend b4 thanksgiving I am running a LAN party at the La Crosse Rifle club which is right by your new house most likely. But I have to supervise 30 some people with guns so I can't really leave. The weekend b4 the 21st might work for me if it's on Saturday after 6:00 or so.
