How big is the serpent now? Feeding him raw shrimp in my tank, he grew like a small child... As scary as it was seeing him compete for food (knowing the potential danger to my fish if I didn't feed him to his liking!), it was cool watching him go after chunks of shrimp and attack my feeding stick when I'd dangle shrimp in front of his "home" in my rockwork.
Tennessee is nice. It still gets cold because I'm up in the mountains, but there's not much snow and we occasionally get a day when it's in the 60's. I've contemplated moving back to WI/MN in the future, because I still love the area up there, despite the fact that I hate snow and shoveling.
It's strange that it's coming up on a year now since I broke down my reef. I want so badly to have my reef back... Dang apartments that frown upon huge quantities of water enclosed in glass in your living room...

Of course, since I've toyed with the idea of coming back to the Midwest, I REALLY don't want to get a tank started and then have to tear it apart again.

But, at some point my 75gal tank will leave my parent's basement and meet water and aquatic life again. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Out of curiosity, was that a royal gramma that became a delicious enemy of the serpent star? It didn't look like a big, expensive fish, so that's good. Has he climbed up your rockwork trying to get food yet? He did that all the time in my tank if I was feeding flakes and not giving him some attention (food) at the same time. Entertaining creature, for sure.
