Just built one out of a 40, you wouldn't need to get quite as elaborate with it as we did; but willing to offer up suggestions when you do come up with some plan's, since the one we just built doesn't have water in it yet; I would hate to say oh do it this way it works great.
You can get the acrylic/lexan at menards. We actually got some weld-on to attach pieces together and I built some frag tanks using the lexon and weld-on, really easy to work I used a scroll saw with my frag tanks and we used a jig saw for the sump, but most of the pieces were pre-cut before we started working with them. Then if you are going to drill anything make sure you get a good hole saw, single hole saw not the one that comes with all the different sizes.
Like I said when you come up with what you want to do just post back here and I am sure there will be plenty of input

I would offer to help put it together, but I am in the midst of mutliple projects right now. Helping my sister hopefully finish getting her's setup this weekend and then I am hoping by next weekend to be getting the plumbing ready for my changes to my setup and I bet that ends up taking a couple of weekends before I can get the tanks put into place and filled with water and frags and there are multiple steps I am taking.
Ok I will shut up now, hopefully somebody that used a 30 will chime in with some good suggestions
Thanks
Cary
