They are all going to be linked together...the sump is a 40, there will be a 10 with macro and the 18-20 with a DSB, we painted that black....going to make a lid for it as well, I don't think any of the pictures showed that one...

I agree! Will this be two reefs? One reef, one FOWLR? One peaceful, one agressive? Let's see, what other combinations can I come up with...? LOL
Can't wait to see more. Keep the pics coming!! Congratulations Sandy

Now that I have finally settled down from the weekend of Cary cracking the whip. The progress is great. I am not 100 % sure what I am going to end up with two seperate reefs, 1 fish only or just a giant frag tank. I think Cary is hoping for the giant frag tank. I guess only time will tell. Just remember this is all new to me so I am definately open for any sugestions. For the time being I will be happy with sand, rocks and water. That will happen next weekend then Look out I figure I should be completely broke with in a month trying to fill two tanks. Why waste a perfectly good 75 gal. and just have it setting in the garage. Humm go big or go home lol

Jrmass, I already have a fresh water with my koi in it in the livingroom so everyone might get one of those 911 calls that my tanks have fallen through the floor of my house and the fishing are swimming in the basement, humm new reefzilla. lol

In all honesty, having a FOWLER would make alot of sense money wise, you wouldnt have to buy another set of lights for that tank. Plus, you could have all the sweet aggressive fish!

I like the idea of the FOWLER but like I said I am not sure what I will end up with.

Here I was thinking I would be able to start picking up some corals at the next meeting OTP but now I am not even sure if I will be able to come since my daughter's Junior Prom is the same day. This suck's I am really looking forward to the meeting. Maybe I will come up for a couple of hours then come back home.

Actually I was talking about if you had the two tanks hooked together lol... (making one a FW and one a SW) =)
*similiar to the water changing toilet idea for those of you that know what I'm talking about lol*

I am also curious to know the answer to Jason's question.
Also, I would like to see a picture of the sump from teh side with an explanation of what each area does. I am in the process of getting my frag station designed and your sump look swell thought out and very clean.

Ok, so this is pretty close, not quite finished but helps explain what we did. As far as one be sw and fw nope, they are both going to be sw, just not sure if one is going to be more agressive or not, could be because we could put extra filter media on the one that is agressive to capture more waste or even add another small skimmer Right now with this setup there isn't going to be an out of view frag tank even though we could probably easily add one into the mix someplace as there is still room in stand or we could even build a couple more like the ones I made and put in the back corner and still tie them all together.

Went to Menards to pick up the rest of the fittings that Cary put on the grocery list tonight so we should be good to go for the weekend. We are planning on finishing the plumbing and putting the sand, rock and water in this coming weekend. I thought it would never get here.
