Looks really good Sandy. And I love the idea of the stained glass panels in the door. I do have a question, though. Does lead rust? I'm thinking about the salt spray that will be hitting the back of the panels and what that will do (if anything) to them.
Just a thought. Keep the pics coming!

lead doesnt rust but over time it will corrode.....but that would take YEARS AND YEARS under water.....so keeping it clean she shouldnt see any ill effects on the lead from the saltwater.....might outa put some kinda of clear poly on the back to keep the salt from building up between the lead/glass thou....
but this is a cool idea and i cant wait to see it together....

That's awesome!!! Think that's the first time I've heard of that... I've heard of fish porn before (think I heard you say it as a matter of fact) but, the reef pornographer is funny as hell!

I am hoping that I do not create a tsunami in my stand with hi wind and waves, so just a good coat of Mothers Carnuba Car wax should take care of the corrosions issue for quite sometime

Ok, so a little more progress today... got the tanks where they are going to stay, after about and hour of debate...we got all the acrylic cut and the pieces that area acyrlic on acyrlic glued....picked up hopefully all the fittings we need to do all the plumbing...so that was the 5-6 hours of work today...doesn't seem like much but... it is starting to happen....hopefullly tomorrow get the sump put together...we ended up having the wrong silicon to put the acrylic in...may not get water flowing through the system...but we are making progress...

Finished sump in stand
Tank with sump, we have put up a mini blind on the window but might have to cover with card board at least at tank height.
Tanks placed and leveled
Let us know what you think of it. I will be going back down next weekend to hopefully finish it up, at least we better as I am buying rock to take down so have to have water in them soon....

Great looking stands! Clean plumbing
That skimmer looks so tiny under that nice stand and in that larger sump.
I can't wait to see the stain glass on the doors.

It really does look good cary... I'm impressed and can not wait to see what the finished product ultimately turns out to be. So, are both tanks going to run individually or are they going to be linked together? I'm just curious as you know how I would have it done lol.
