FS: 45 gallon glass tank

I've decided to try to sell my 45 and start with something smaller and not as tall. Either a nano cube/biocube or a shorter tank with the same footprint as my stand. It is a standard All-glass 45, very clean. I had previously used it for a freshwater planted tank.

36" x 12" x 24" tall. $50.

Thanks, Rick

Hey Rick,

I wouldn't go smaller. This is your first SW tank, right? Bigger is better. More forgiving. Smaller water volume means mistakes make a bigger difference, faster. That's one reason why lots of us added a sump. More water volume.

With that being said... good luck getting 'er sold!

Hi Jen,

I have to agree with you 100%. Everything I've read and been told says that bigger is better. Well, except for time, and I just don't have enough time. I know a bigger tank will be more efficient, ie, work/gallon is less, but it is more work. More time, bigger pails, more water. For me, that will lead to neglect, and the 45 planted tank was right on the border of being work, not fun, and then neglected.

If the bug bites, like everyone says it will, I'll be buying a bigger tank some day! But that won't be until the kids are older, deck is finished, that stair railing is replaced...

If only reality wouldn't interfere with my hobbies!
