That's funny I almost bought 2 of the 9 tank displays today (the same displays you find at Petsmart and Petco) for frags from a fish store going out of business here in Sparta. Pretty good price too. He wanted $600 for the pair and all were plumbed together with a built-in heater system. But, I decided against it seeing I have those funds set aside for a new T-5 for my 70 gallon in the basement.

So far...
Here it is so far. 30 gal long w/ PC lighting for now. I am going to get that egg crate stuff and put it in the tank near the top. I want to do MH....but that may be a little ways down the road.

Are you going to connect your frag tank to the main tank? If you are why would you put sand in the tank it's probably going to be more in the way than you think. As soon as you get the egg crate in there you are not going to be able to properly clean the sand (I have this problem now but, I have a bare glass bottom tank) and you are going to collect A LOT of sediment due to the placement of the return drain.
My $.02

No, it will be separate. I will prolly just put egg crate on 1/2 of the tank. To deal with the sand bed i will most likely just put a few snails in there. Do you think that would work out well? I guess I could just take the sand out too......

Well, this is how far it's come in the last few weeks.
Have a few corals in there to see how they do. From left to right-colt coral, devils finger, pulsing xenia, and gsp.
