JASON still no pictures uploaded of you stuff? What gives??

I still haven't been able to get a good pic... EVERYONE I take turns out purple... And neither piece is purple... The torte is Blue and Metallic Green, and the other one is Green with Blue tips... I will attempt to play with the camera again to see if I can't get something worthy of displaying.

Here are some so-so pictures of the two acros I got... I moved the mushroom because I wasn't happy with where it ended up... So, I'll have to get pics after hopefully it attaches to the frag plugs I surrounded it between a few plugs to hopefully hold it in place...

Cary, I also ended up getting some straggler clove polyps with one of the acros... So, maybe you might get some back eventually after all.

I had to actually edit this post because for some stupid reason TRT is not allowing me to post pictures... *who knows*. So, you will have to see the pictures from my photobucket. Here is the direct link to the FIVE pictures that I took to give everyone an idea on what I picked up. I still have yet to take a pic of the mushroom as I'm waiting for it to fully take to the frag plug (which I believe it may have successfully done) and then I'll be able to get a good picture of it. *It really is a beautiful mushroom*

I'm not sure if they are ORA or not (Steve did not specify whether yes or no). But, he at least gave me the specific variation that it was. The blue torte looking one is actually an "Acropora Divaricata" and the green one is an "Acropora Vermiculata".

No need to be confused DJ... Those are actually pretty good representations of what they actually do look like... And those are not actinics... That is what they look like under my 20k XM bulbs... If Nick ever feels up to coming over to my place with his fancy dancy camera and take some good pictures of my stuff then I'd be able to give a better representation of what they really look like. (Then I might be able to coax my wife into allowing me to get a camera Just For The Fish Tank) hehe...

And definately no offense taken... Just remember the pieces are really only expensive if they are extremely rare or if you are buying large show sized pieces... Otherwise frags from the club and other people are generally no more than $5-$25 depending on size and availability.

I hope to get a pic of the Blue spotted mushroom today (the one I believe is a superman) is this mushroom:

This Gem Tang. My girlfriend, Eleen, took it when we were at fosters. It took her like 15 min and many pics to get that shot. It was in the divers den coral tank. Beautiful fish, but I just cant get myself up to buying a $3k fish.

Why didn't she take one of the gem tang that was in the quarantine tanks??? Would have been MUCH MUCH easier to get a nice side shot of. Had I known she was trying to get one I would have mentioned that to her at the time. I also would never be able to bring myself to get one... Hard to imagine buying a fish that is 1/5th the price of my CAR.

Oh way to be on top of that one Jason, I'm thinking maybe you were enjoying watching her try so hard maybe??

OK OK I get the hint I'm up for taking some pictures for you. We just gotta make a time. I'm open Sunday this weekend, might be a nice day for a drive anyways. Let me know, PM me or whatever you think.

Looking to share a shroom or 2? I'd be in the market for a few of the hairy's you have too. The one I got from you is huge now.

Yes, it sure is amazing at how bright the blue is on them... I knew right away what it was when I looked in the tank and immediately asked about it. As far as the acro issue... I feel like a fool as the acro issue is I believe completely my own doing... Not even thinking about the fact that my temp controller was still set to winter months I had the chiller set not to kick in until the tank temp was 85 degrees... So, I believe that some of the more sensitive corals were doomed from the start. Of course the more durable ones did fine but, the sensitive ones were most of my expensive ones lol. *live and learn* I have since moved my temp controller to kick in at 82 and everything is recovering (other than the ones that were already dead as recovery for those might take slightly longer lol). Life skill lesson #9873567312 don't forget to check your tank temp if something seems off.

On the upside I ended up doing some long needed water changes (changed probably close to 100 gallons of my tanks volume) so levels were good before but now they are well still good lol. Now watch... seeing I did all of the water changes I'll probably start a cycle on my tank *j/k* lol

Jason

I'm sure I could get you a hairy mushroom... But, the blue spotted one I only have one shroom of. It was just a straggler that was sitting in one of their empty tanks (they didn't even know it was there themselves *thus I asked about it*)
