This year at fosters they included ReVive. this is also what they use at there facility (from what I was told) it kills everything just about. It smells like pine sol and after I dipped all the corals I had to dump a number of dead things. This goes to the point of killing starfish and things of that sort even.

Hrmmm had I known this I probably would have done so. But, I had never done it before so I really wouldn't have had any idea how to go about it w/out worrying about harming the corals. After finding about this though I think that from here on out I will do so. That and the fact that now my tank has so many different types of coral that I would like to make better sure that I do not harm any of them by taking such a risk.

heck even though there in your tank it might not hurt to go back and dip. yes if there was anything it could be in your tank already but if there still just on the coral it will get them.... or cut down the numbers.

It's funny you should mention hitchikers as I have just found one. (this isn't a bad one though). Found out that the large birdsnest had a Emerald Crab that is currently living INSIDE of it. (or what I believe to be an emerald crab). Jen happened to discover it last night as she fed the tank and noticed it grabbing piece of flake food from the confines of it's residence. I would take a pic of it... But, it would literally be quite impossible to get a photo of.

There are a few species of crabs that live exclusively in/on the corals...though I forget the name, they are harmless.

Well, it's quite possible this is one of them as it would appear that there is no way that it intends on removing itself from the center of the birdsnest. Pretty cool to watch actually.

Yes, we went to Lake Michigan. We left out of Sturgeon Bay (at the Yacht Center). We left at 4:00 a.m. and returned at 10:30ish a.m. If I were to do it again though I would probably just pay for the whole day as it was just that much fun!
www.salmondepot.com was the company we went through.

Very cool man! I love DC! I am going to try to do some backpack camping at Newport state park also. It depends on if I can get my wife to take the kids elsewhere or maybe her parents could take them since they live in Manitiwoc. It's a great park, primitive sites along the shoreline.
