Fish nutrition
Hey everbody. As you can tell by the title this thread is about nutrition and fish. Now I know theres a lot of good reading material out there on this subject, but I'm wondering, what are your feeding combinations? Do you soak your food in Vitamin supplements? Do you make your own food?
My biggest battle right now is ensuring that my fish are getting fed enough, and getting fed what they need. Brine and Spirulina Brine are not big in nutrition but a much loved food by most all fish. Is soaking this in a product like Selcon going to be good enough for ensuring your fish don't miss what they need. Obvious other foods are good for being higher in nutritional value but products like pemysis is large and harder for smaller reef fish to eat. And even on my stock of fish that do except this food, that doesnt mean I should feed it all the time and everytime.
anyways, tell me what combinations you feed and what works for you, with small and large reef fish in mind. I appreciate all feedback. Thanks for reading.

I make a blender mush, mixing up shrimp, squid, nori, selcon, mysis, reefroids, and anything else I find around the house or at the local seafood section. Blend it up, put it in plastic bag, squish it down and freeze it. The fish and coral love it.

Weren't we supposed to have a food making thing a while back?? What happened to that?
For me, I feed frozen every other day (marine cuisine, mysis, I've got like 5 different kinds of frozen just vary it) Then on the other days I feed flake, I bought every kind of ocean nutrition food they have and mixed it together and smashed it down a bit. Then feed my seaweed that day too. Seems to have worked for me so far.

thats kinda my problem right now, is getting certain fish to take flake/pellets. I have a raccoon fish that eats frozen no problem but will not touch flake food, so it seems to be a preference. I was also thinking about rearing Mollys for live food. How do you all feel on this, is it mean to do this, or just nature in its process.
i thought we were going to do a food making deal but didnt hear much on it after that.

Yeah, I know...I suggested it then dropped the ball...
I don't know about everyone else, but this summer has gone FAST!!! Maybe if OTP Matt gets in some oyster eggs & rods foods, we'll all get a few packages, add our own lovin to make it go farther, and have a fish mush party!
