Evil Knievel the clownfish
O.k. so either I have the bravest or the dumbest clownfish in history... Not to mention the luckiest... Because TWICE now I have gone into the basement to find a partially dried up clownfish only to pick it up and have it begin flopping in my hand... Placing it into the tank only to my amazement watch it swim away... I guess I will be picking up some egg crating to hope that he can't perform the hat trick (3 times) and hope that keeps him in the water instead of trying to becoming a "landlubber" like the rest of us.
Guess we'll see if it decides to stay in the tank tonight so that I have the opportunity to get the crating over the tank lol.

lol... it's just this one fish that jumps though.. But, no the tank is not grounded... And I know there is some voltage that has been getting created by the impellor of the powerhead in the tank. I guess that I'm going to just have to order it and get it over with before I end up losing a fish out of the deal.
I still think that it is odd that it has twice tried to escape and both times been denied his eviction =)

Geeze! Clowns really must not like your tank Jason! The one keeps trying to escape and the one you were holding for me decided to become a popcicle on your glass top... Im only kidding, but that is crazy!

yeah I would definitely invest in a grounding probe.
Rotties, do you know if we need grounding probes in both the sump and the display?

Putting one in the sump should do the job. There is a constant flow of water going on, so any electrical current would be in the entire water volume at the same time.

Actually, the only tank I ever get even the slightest tingle off of is JUST the 70 gallon (the tank with the clowns in it) and the only fish I have an issue with jumping are just the percula clowns... no issues with any of the other fish... But, who knows... I'll just get probes for each of the tanks just to be sure I'm good... I only need to have them inside the overflows so it'll be easy to hide.
