Engineer Goby

A friend has offered me 3 engineer gobies. (he's getting out of the saltwater business) How would they do with a yellow watchman and pistol shrimp in a 6 ft tank? I think they are pretty good size, about 5". They could have one end of the tank, as the shrimp/goby stay pretty much in one area.

Your thoughts please?

cool fish but they make a mess. If your adding any softies to your 90 they will most likely be covered in sand. (if on the bottom) but cool fish.

Thanks Jake, the shrimp/goby already screw with anything on the bottom they can get their claws on. I have to be careful to secure everything to the rock .

Man I have seen one alone do a number on a tank. Great at digging. I don't want to think what 3 could do though.

oh yeah and make sure your rocks are on the bottom .... on the glass that is. Otherwise they can topple your rock work.

This could be interesting.... I picked them up this Am and they are pretty big already at least 6". But the shrimp and goby make new tunnels every day and rearrange things to suit themselves, so hopefully this wont be too much worse. I'll be keeping them in quarantine for 3 weeks, we'll see then.
Anyway, thanks for the posts, see you all at Brians.

I loved ours but he was always making big hills of sand. I don't think I would have 3 of them myself. Ours made our rocks fall many times.
