Unfortunately, I must resign myself from the trip up to Rhinelander. I knew when I took the job at Victory Fireworks that my DFS trip would probably have to get bumped... But, I held out hope that I could come with an excuse good enough to warrant the manager not being at work on one of the busiest days of our year there.
Alas, I must work... But at least I'll be making a ***** ton of overtime the next two weeks...
Take some sweet pictures so I'll have something to envy!!!

Apparently there was some confusion regarding the hand selection from the coral facility. At the end of the tour there are 3 frag tanks that will be avaliable for hand selection that you can pick out of. If you want to order regular Divers Den merchandise up to 2 days ahead of time and it can be picked up also on saturday but the entire facility is not at our disposal.
In addition there is some frustration with the "rules" that Drs Foster and Smith has put in place to coordinate the tours of their facility. I realize we're not always going to be able to pick the best weekend for everyone to go, and that it is their policy to only allow 1 trip per club per year. But our clubs are all so close there is no reason if we wanted to attempt another tour later this year and use the Eau Claire or Rochester club name. Also I called again this morning to confirm the ONLY payment methods inside the coral facility are Credit/Debit Cards OR Gift Cards (They're currently working out details for people who are bringing cash/check to be able to purchase things also). Its no different than if you were purchasing online from the Divers Den, their facility is just not setup to accept any other forms of payment.
Lets remember, that they technically don't have to open their facility to us at all.

did they say how big the frag tanks are? or what they may have in them? Sounds like things have changed.

Drs Foster and Smith gift cards can be purchased at the retail store starting at 10am on saturday. There will not be refunds however on the gift cards if the balance is un-used it will need to be spent either in the retail store or online for a future purchase.
I have never heard of any complaints from anyone with the corals to choose from in the hand picking tanks. From their selection inside the retail store I would assume they will have the same mix of softies, LPS, and SPS corals in the coral facility to choose from.

Yeah I was just wondering since the frag tanks sound to be something new. I know your going through alot of work getting this all setup and Thank you for that. I'm just trying to find a small scolymia ( that isn't way expensive.) that looks nice.

O.k. I had my weekends mistaken... We did go and visit my mom this past weekend but that turned out to be the meeting weekend not F&S weekend. So, Jen and I will still be able to go. We just had to end up missing Jakes shin dig at his place which was disapointing but, family comes first.
