I hear ya there, for some reason I thought I head they changed that so sellers couldn't leave negative feedback.....In all my ebay transactions I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. Then again I usually research the sellers and everything else, read their bad and neutral see if anyone bought the same thing I did.

Agreed though, it is kinda a crapshoot. Sorry to hear you're having problems though Josh.

I'm pretty sure that sellers can now not leave negative feedback... Or maybe they can, but they have to go through eBay to leave it or something... I know that they worked really hard to protect buyers who leave bad feedback.

The way I see it, the second you pay a seller, they should leave feedback for you because you held up your end of the deal and paid them quickly. I HATE HATE HATE HAAAAAAAATE when sellers state that they won't leave feedback until you, the buyer, leave feedback. I mean, the buyer has done his/her part by sending the money and winning the auction... But, anyway, that's that...

So, if you leave negative feedback, they shouldn't be able to turn around and ruin your feedback now. Also, you can always request that someone who's left you feedback revise it later if you don't like it. Or, you can comment on it and state why it's total b.s.

This is what has driven me away from ebay. One paypal sucks I have lost 2 or 3 disputes with them. One was in I had to pay for a third party to get involved with the issue and his report said it was a sharttered camera. I think they only sided with him because in his auction listing he said he just got back from the war and needed some money. Last one was some punk kid in IL (he later posted his pic on his me page, he was an Eminem wanna be) sent everything but what was listed in the auction, it took about a Month to get. I had ordered stuff from hong kong durning that time and it got here before his crap. I did leave negative feedback. He made a personal threat "he was going to come up here and personally kick my *****" I reported this to ebay and paypal. according to ebays own rules this is not tolerated. They didn't do anything. I wasn't the first to leave negative feedback to him. I too sent a few weeks worth of emails and he didn't reply to one of them.

I have been a ebay member for almost 10 years now. I hate how much it has changed. And now the only policy is you have to basically use paypal for "seller protection, or what ever else" WHO owns paypal. EBAY.

All I can say is good luck I hope the best for you.

hrmmm I did not know that Aaron. It makes sense though.

I checked the dispute area on my paypal account and it says it is still waiting for a response from the seller. grrr.

Yeah, the seller has like 15 or 20 days to "respond." If they don't respond, I think it's automatically decided in your favor. If they respond and don't fix it for you, then you can escalate it to a formal "case" or something with Paypal, and they decide what happens.

I had a problem with a seller about 4 years ago. I ordered a camera for my wife for a Christmas picture. Well Christmas came and went....no camera. Turns out the seller had no intention of sending the camera. Here's what I did. I emailed him and asked him to send me my money back....I of course got no response. I set up a new ebay account and emailed him a "question for seller" he got back to the new name right away. Figures... so, I told him just send me my money and you will never hear from me again. If not, I will bid on every item you ever list and you will never sell another item. I got no response. I then started bidding ridiculous amounts of money on all of his auctions and I had my money back in a few minutes.

Thats bulls*it if you ask me... I would be outraged! I had issues with a seller on ebay before also and papal really doesnt do their best to get your money back. If you open a dispute, either party can close the dispute without the acknowledgemnt on the other party. Once a dispute has been closed, paypal says "its out of their hands" as the problem had been resovled and the dispute was closed... I ended up getting my money back after hours of calling paypal and giving them numerous "security passwords" and going through all of it was not fun!
