Squamosa, Derasa, and Gigas I have always been told that they will be fine under pc's. In fact I had 2 in my aquapod 24 gal. I only kept one in there after awhile because I didn't want to keep up with the feeding and how much room they took. They were derasa's and yes it did grow in there also. I did eventually lose it in my 72 bf though 
due to tank par. but I think Its time for another clam. Just need to make room now.
