I'm sorry to hear about your trouble! I too hope everything makes it for you ok. I'm sure the LARK locals would take in your corals for babysitting if you need it. Great group of folks down there!

Thanks everyone for the advice, kind words, and offers. It's really nice to know that LARK is always there when you need 'em. Thanks again. I tore out the carpeting today and will try and get the new carpeting in by this weekend, then set the tank back up early next week. So far everything seems to be o.k. except I may have lost three small Xenias that just divided last week. Time will tell.

I'm glad to not have a RR tank. My ball valve had some play in it and couldn't get it set just right. I spent 3 days of up and down water levels. What I would call "valve tending". With the 55sump, I can drain the top tank right to the bulkheads and still have room in the 55 for more water. This way at least there is no chance for an overflow. I found this out yesterday as I had to change the valve on the return.

Yea, I used to have my return 4" into the top of the tank, when my faulty breaker would go (AC and Tank on one breaker) it would siphon the 4" of water and drain into the sump. Since the sump is only 20 gallons, I obviously had quite a bit of water on the floor. I now have it maybe 1" into the water to prevent this from happening! I hope your corals pull though! Nick is right, always TEST for the worst! Ex. Unplug 1 power strip and leave the other on (if you have 2), unplug the enitre system and check your siphon from the return. Good Luck!

That's a good test for everyone...
It's also nice to have a secondary water overflow spot as well (although I'm sure NONE of us have that) *I have concidered rigging in a 20 gallon to stay empty at all times* incase if something amazing were to happen that I would flood my 75 gallon sump... But typically even if EVERYTHING went off for me it only gets 3/4 full.
