All I have to ask is How old were those bulbs?????? I mean that is a night and day change. I'm wondering how much of a change I would see on my tank seeing the bulbs I have are now about 11 months old. I know that my frag tank in the basement which I just changed the 70 watt bulb on went from a blue hue to crisp white after changing that bulb. But, I can't say that my main tank has that much of a different color than what it origionally started with (or at least I don't think it does).

if you're not having algae problems, corals are doing well, and you like the look/color of the tank, i don't see any reason to change bulbs. i don't think mh bulbs need to be changed as often as a lot of people think.

jason supposibly the bulbs were less then a year old. I bought the fixture used from some people in the cities. That was my first set of mh and didn't really have anything to go off of. That was a shocker though to see the difference. I believe in changeing the bulbs every year. You get use to colors as time moves on. I really noticed the difference in pc's... Speaking of which I need to get some new ones on here for that also but I think that will wait till fosters .....

The color looks much better with the AB bulbs. They are a good brand of bulbs so I'm sure you'll be happy with them. And BTW - It's nice to finally see a pic of your tank. It looks nice.
