I have 3 tangs in my 90 (all roughly 3" small). They all eat crazy amounts of food and are fat as can be. I had the Salifin first, then added the Chocolate and then the Purple. After I introduced the purple, a few signs of ick popped up, but after using some advise from a friend (actually cutting down on the algae feedings) everything has cleared up. I personally plan to upgrade my tank within the next 2 years to provide the adequent swimming room for all of my fish. From what I was told, your powder brown is more suseptible to ick than the blue. I think I am LUCKY to not have had any aggression problems with my tangs, especially since the purple and the sailfin are so closly related. I also believe I have the skimmer capacity to maintain the bioload from my fish. My biggest concern with adding another tang (especially one that is more susceptible to ick than others) would be the other tangs becoming aggressive to the newly added one.

ya....im not lookin at housing 3 large tangs in a 90 as a perm home.....it was just a temp thought untill the 125 is done...but i wouldnt of added it untill the 125 was under way......but now its a no go since i now have to move......oh well....the other place is big enuff for the 125 and the 90 and the 40 so maybe evntually ill get it up now....

but kims back on the "DISCUS TRIP" so ill let her make up her mind then ill buy a piece of equipment that she cant change so that way shes stuck with which ever route.....

i never noticed anything major with my PB tang.....a few dots here and there but i seen them on the yellow when i added him...dots went away with feeding and cleanin by the shrimp so i didnt worry about it.....not like i could catch him anyways.......

when i first started with SW, i had a 65 gallon, 36" x 18" x 24" and my regal was great. He grow rather fast on mysid and algae sheets. I got rid of him due to tank size and i feel that the more space the tangs have, the more "comfortable" they feel in that environment, which will greatly reduce the amounts of stress on fish from day to day. One day your 125 will be up and running and I would move your powder brown and the regal as they get more long then round, this i think would be a good move for the well being of your tank and fish.

im wanting to get the 125 up as a reef but with it not being RR its gona cost me a bit more.....

i do want discus but really want a bigger reef......

i guess time and mainly money will tell what happens with the 125....

i would rather get a regal that is about the same size as m yellow and pb just so he has a fighting chance of survival with aggression issues.....

who knows....i may never get one.......
