First off let me say welcome... Second off so that it isn't so confusing to everyone else you should just start a post and basically say everything you just did in one post hehe... Also, if you are looking for Softies I do have some fragged right now. But, I know that for sure 3 will be claimed after next weekend. But, you are more than welcome to stop on in. I'm sure I can always cut more if there is something that you are interested in.
Jason
P.S. it says squid under your name until you get a certain amt of posts then you will be allowed to edit that to whatever you want in your edit cp menu.
*thus we all have something different*

I live in Rochester, MN but I am from Tomah and Lacrosse, WI originally. Just setup my first reef/salt tank this weekend. Kept freshwater for 18-20yrs. So far it has been a braincrunch of things to read.
Tank I started is a 24 gal. Aquapod. Wish me luck!!!
P.S. sent in a request to join the member area!

I agree welcome, feel free to start an actual thread about yourself as well as your setup (soon to be setup(S) if you stick with us long enough it becomes quite contagious).

Hi,
My name's Dan. I live in West Salem. Just started my first reef tank and would like to join LARK. Tried the pm thing but I don't think it worked. Matt at OTP showed me how to register but now I can't seem to find that screen again. Anyway, looking forward to joining and meeting more fellow reef tank keepers.

Hello everybody. I'm newer to the area, but am interested in joining LARK. I just need to get my post count up so that I can send a PM.
I currently live in Holmen and have a 24g Nanocube with MJ1200, 25+lbs of liverock, pulsating xenia, mushrooms, 2 clowns, a little aiptasia , a lot of coralline algae, and a bunch of other misc. random growths on my LR. I'm looking at upgrading my lighting to a 20" Nova Extreme Pro and adding a Sapphire protein skimmer.
I'm from the Chicago area, where there are several Local Fish Stores, so I'm also wondering where everyone does their shopping in the LSE area (other than the internet). Do I have to go to Rochester or Madison for a LFS that deals in salt?
Thanks and hope everyone has a good New Year!

Hey Nano,
Welcome...we have several Holmen members (I teach at the high school & live in N. Onalaska) and a lot of draw from the region. Tanks ranging from nanos-220g displays and everywhere in between. We are having a meeting on Feb 7 in Caladonia, and just had one at the beginning of Dec. at my place. Meetings are every few months.
Locally, OldeTown Pets in N. LaCrosse is getting more and more corals, and Matt (owner) is bringing in special things upon request. I got a great acan from him last week. I think he is getting a big salt order in soon for great prices, and has a good selection of drygoods too. For specialty stuff, in the past club members have done group orders to cut down on shipping from LiveAquaria/FostersSmith etc, and a member from a few hours away runs his own aquarium maint. business & occasionally does big group orders direct from overseas. There is a ton of trading/selling of corals within the club, so ask others what's available and come to the meeting with $ to spend.
I have tons of shrooms & zoos, montipora caps, ricordea, etc that get fragged regularly, so let me know what you are interested in. You're welcome to stop by sometime if you want to see what I've got.
Matt

Nice, Old Towne Pets is on my way to/from work, so that's excellent.
I'm def. interested in some zoa's. I'd probably be interested in buyin a few frags sometime.
Thanks again.

Wow! You almost have the same setup as me! Ive got a 24 gal Nanocube softy tank. Its funny that you are looking into the sapphire skimmer, I am about to order one very soon here. If you get yours let me know how you like it and what mods (if any) you had to do!
Welcome to TRT!
