Wow Jason!
I didn't know you could cut through granite countertops with a handheld Jig saw! LOL, JK.
Man it looks awesome, so when are you going to host the next meeting
Say... did the Ancora frag I sold you make it? I hope so.

Thanks... Yeah took a little longer than it would normally take if we had someone come in and do it. It took us about a week doing it on and off to get everything in the way we wanted it. Then we had to order the countertop and do some adjusting to make that fit. But, personally I think it turned out nice and not to mention all the $$$ that we saved doing it ourselves definately made it worth it!

You've got a heck of timing... The one weekend out of like 6 or 7 weekends that we are out of town and guess which one you ask about? lol. We will be visiting my folks in Door County this upcoming weekend and will not be returning until Monday evening.
I figured that I would give everyone else an update on the tank. It is now all plumbed up, the sump has been moved, tank has been filled with SW, got my plastic plating in place as well as drilled, moved a few pieces of LR into the tank, hopefully I'll have everything moved over by tomorrow.
Hopefully I can get all the rock drilled tomorrow, all the rods inserted into the rock and have all rockwork completed so that the corals and fish can all be moved over.
I will put some new pics up tomorrow.
Jason

Man you guys are hard to please... I will take pics for ya right now (even though I know for a fact that you wont be able to see anything as it is that cloudy right now). Hopefully by tonight it will be nice and clear so that you can see the new aquascaping I just finished doing. It is phase one of hopefully only two phases of the aquascape. The reasoning that it needed to be broken up into two phases is just due to visibility restricting what I can see.
My origional plans for attaching the rock was to use acrylic rod and acrylic plate under the sand... Things changed because I came up with a much cheaper and just as durable method. Walmart sells large 20"x15" solid plastic cutting boards. I drilled 48 holes into each with a 5/8" spade bit and used 5/8" O.D. PVC to build all of the arches and to assemble baserock.

There are the pics you wanted to see.

Yeah... I'll have to have Jen feed him tonight before going to bed... Seems like he likes to eat more-so at night than during the day... Although when the tank was still upstairs that didn't matter to him as he was used to the schedule we put him on. Now that the tank is new again I figure we'll give him a few days then we'll put him back on a feeding schedule again.
I am taking some more pictures to upload seeing that the light fixture is now temporarily in place (it will be mounted on some form of a sliding track when it is finally fully installed). It's just nice to see my tank back up and running after all of the weeks of headaches to get it to this point. Now the hard part is to decide what to do with all of the extra rock I have (WHICH IS A LOT) I bet that I have close to 75 lbs of rock that I need to figure out if I'm going to keep or sell. And they are ALL big rocks. One of them was my biggest rock from my old tank (weighs probably around 30-40 lbs if I had to guess). I'm going to see what all fits into the sump and whatever doesn't I may be selling. I will also be selling some sand if anyone is interested in that. It is going to be dry and fully cleaned seeing I don't want to potentially risk whatever was wrong with my tank before being in the sand. ALL of the sand that is in my new tank is 100% cleaned and sifted so that all of the ugly pieces that I never liked are all gone and it's just really nice fine sand.
Anyhow, check out the pics hopefully everything I've been doing will show return in that everyone finds the new look as nice as I hopefully will when the tank finally 100% clears up.
Jason

Looks great, are you going to put an access door above the tank on the front?
