26 Bowfront

Ok, so I thought I'd start a thread about my tank. I don't have any sweet pictures of a build because all I have is a sumpless 26g bowfront. It's nothing exciting, and it really looks like a bunch of rocks, but I guess they all do when they start out.
The rock and sand are all dried out from my tank I took down last summer in ND. My light is an xm 10k 250w on a pfo mini pendant driven by a coralvue elec. ballast. My skimmer is an Odyssea ps75 that cost me <50 bucks new and it is actually starting to pull out crap. For flow I have a seio 820 and a maxi-jet 1200. I also have a HOT magnum for mechanical filtration, but would really like to get an aquaclear 70 filter or something like that to turn into a small fuge.
So yeah, get ready to drool OK maybe not.

the only thing I'll say is you are way too down on your tank. I like it. the aquascape is nice and there's plenty of room for coral placement.

Thanks for the encouragement. The only reason I'm using the magnum is because I'm trying to set this up on a budget (thus the odyssea skimmer) and I already had it laying around. As soon as I get ahold of a little fuge it will be gone. Actually the skimmer, tank, and stand are the only pieces of equipment I've had to buy. I had everything else from my last tank.

I agree that you are too down on your tank. Remember every tank has to start somewhere. It's on a bit of a different scale but, for the most part my first tank looked exactly like what yours does. I started with a heck of a lot of rock, lots of sand, a few fish, an anemone, and 1 coral. I'm sure I have a pic of it somewhere to give you an idea of how far a person can go in a very short time.

It was also very nice to put a face to the name.
