That looks awsome Amy!! I love the shelfs, perfect place for storing chemicals and test kits, I've been meaning to put some shelfs in my stand too. Do you have the doors closing on the outside of the stand, or on the inside of the frame? Is your canopy going to match the same style?

Your tank is going to look great sitting on that!

The doors will close on the outside of the frame - overlapping the cuts so it looks nice and neat - they will be routered (that's all Ben, I'm not steady enough yet) I got *cute* starfish handles for the front, I hope they look ok. The canopy will match the stand, I am really excited * like ya can't tell* to see it come together.

Amy,

I'm enjoying this thread. You are doing such a great job. When did you decide to get into seahorses? Have you kept them before? I just love my herd o' Reidi.

I don't want to sound like the seahorse police..but please, anyone who is interested in seahorses or pipefish for that matter, do your homework first.

They are not "impossible", but they are surely different, as are their needs. It was a completely new learning curve for me; coming from reef to lagoon/seahorses. There are just soo many things to keep in mind.

I've had my ponies now for a couple years, and have offspring from them too. I'd have gotten nowhere if not for seahorse.org, and some other resources. If you are interested, let me know and I'll babble on some more about research tools, set ups, etc.
