Drilling 20g highs 3 times. The first two tanks with the drill left on the hammer setting wondering why it cracks right as it's about the break through.

And here is what I have been working on today....
To be fair and full disclose my husband drew up the plans and is being my QA manager, but I've been the one behind the power tools. So far I have a top and a bottom to the stand, pretty darn excited here!!! OK i know it's only 2 boxes, but I did it myself!

And if I didn't mention it - it's really cold here!!!

Shoulda told me you needed lights, Im going to be selling my T5s within the week for cheap =(

Also, very important question... Did you at least break the tank BEFORE you scrubbed that ugly purple off? lol.

ummm sad on the lights.... gotta hate that
and YES I did break the tank with only 10% of the ugly purple scraped off LOL!!!!!!

Before I go to bed tonight I'll at least have a skelton of a stand, I'll post more pics when it's done, cause I know you guys are dying to see my 2*4's

well we ran out of 2*4 to finish the face so it has to wait until tommorow, thank goodness for MLK day Ben says he will continue to help me work on it tommorow, but I have to say I am very pleased with my progess tonight. No wrong cuts so far!!!!

Looks great Amy! Make sure you support the whole tank evenly along the whole bottom trim though, I notice right now it looks like it's just supported on the corners and the front edge.

Oh yes. It's very important to support the tank evenly along the entire bottom trim.

Also make sure to sheet, glue and screw the sides and back so it doesn't sizzor on you. Check the build thread I did on my 180 if you want to see what I mean.
