Cool,.. 2 votes for the cheap way (you'll probably be able to use this on your kids tank BTW).
Thanks!

Umm,.. Yes, in the long run the cheap way does end up costing more,... but it would take about 400 months to add up to the inital setup cost of the High pressure system.
Remember, I'm only putting CO2 on this as a temporary thing to help the tank grow in,.. It will only be used for a month or so,.. So it will never have a chance to add up in cost. The cheap way is way easer for me,.. I was just wondering what others wanted to see
3 for the cheap one!

Umm,.. Ya, most of it they can do I'm not sure if you want them aroudn a lighter,... a power drill, or superglue,.. but if your ok with that then they can do it all
It's really simple,.. You'll understand when you see the setup. The lighter is to bend a plastic hose to hook around the filter intake,.. and the superglue is for a fitting in the cap.

Ack, your tank turned all green.....
Sorry to hear that you had to redo that reef tank a planted, but I totally understand. Every time I read those posts its like dejavu with mine. Sorry cant be any help with the plants, well that type anyway, but good luck with it. I probably missed it, but any plans for fish. Oh, and I vote for the pressurised co2 and low light. Hey after salt water that should be cheap.

Lol,.. The part you missed is that I ripped down the 180G Freshwater planted tank to set it up SPS Reef! This 25G will remain my Soal Freshwater tank.
Yes, fish. I have already added 5 Cardnel tetras, and 8 Neon Tetras,.. Very cool fish, very colorfull I plan to add more neons in time, but I'm seeing how these do first.
Cool,.. One vote for the Pressurized system. I have all the parts to it so Neither will cost me any money.

Okay, the majority want me to show how to setup the easy cheap way to deliver CO2,.. right now I'm slamming a 2 leiter of Pop so I can use the bottle to do this project, but while I do that I'll type out a few warnings for anyone considering this.
1. You NEVER want the fluid in the 2 leiter bottle to make it into your tank, it will kill all your fish,.. you just want the gas it creates. Make sure your power filter (That we will use as a reactor) doesn't have a clogged intake screen or it can crush the bottle and suck the liquid in.
2. You NEVER want to seal this bottle,.. this mix will build enough pressure to eventually rupture the bottle and spray nasty half fermented acohol all over your house,.. not good. Make sure nothing ever clogs for the same reason.
3. Never disconnect the bottle and leave the air hose below the tank,.. it can back syphon and spill water on your floor.
4. it is possible to overdose with CO2 killing your fish,.. the plants will love it though Make sure to monitor KH and PH values at first and use the caculator to make sure you never go over 30PPM CO2,.. levels will be highest right before lights on.
But the air bubbles the plants put off when they get enough CO2 to saturate the water with 02 are really cool

Alright,.. here we go. How to make your own CO2
We start with a normal old 2 leither bottle and an Airline coupler.
Now we take off the lid of the bottle and drill a hole in it,.. make this slightly smaller than the airline coupler,.. you want this to make a good mechanical seal,.. so it's perfectally sealed without glue. The plastic of the lid is fairly rubbery so shoving it in and creating a seal shouldn't be too hard.
Make sure that the little rubber thing under the cap that seals up the cap stays intact:
Now,.. Push the airline coupler in the hole just a bit to check for a tight fit:
If you have a good tight fit put superglue around the sholder of the coupler, and around the top of the lid/shank of the coupler and shove it down really quick before the glue drys:
Double check to make sure the little rubber seal thing on the back of the cap is still ok:
