Well, here are some pictures of my 20 high as of today, showing the new closed loop and the current status of the tank. The Kenya tree that I added has split twice, and now I have three separate stalks growing. The macro is growing like crazy and I will be doing a major pruning at my next water change.

Enjoy.
First, FTS.

Right side.

Left side with a huge crop of macro.

Kenya Tree shot.

alos, how are you feeling about the flow in there? How many times turnover did you end up with? Does it look like too little too much just right?

Thanks for the compliments YLChik. Especially comming from the master carpenter over there . Yes, I am really wanting to get the ponies in the tank, but I have a few more things I need to add first. Like gorgonians and other things for hitching posts etc. I've been held up for two weeks trying to get the CL built and then the pump leak solved.

The CL turns over 248 gph or 12.4 times my tank volume. It seems to be just right as everything is waving rather lazily in the "breeze". I don't think it is too forceful for the ponies and adds a good amount of turnover.

Thanks for the compliment! I have been held up in plumbing as well... i have all put like 2 parts that I am waiting on grrr- I hate waiting
So glad to hear your flow is looking good... I am hoping mine will as well - then to grow some macro and hitches just like you... did I mention i hate waiting? what kind of Gorgonians are you going to go with and from where - all the ones in town here are nonphotosythetic... i am trying to find a purple and or yellow photo - but so far sealifeinc.cmo is all I can find.

Enjoying watching your build

I hear you about the waiting game, it stinks. When you get to the point you're ready for macro let me know. If you want some of my razor ribbon I'll harvest some for you. This stuff is neat to look at and and grows good too. I'm trying to find the links to some of the gorgonians I am looking at. I found a purple photo varitey at marine depot live I think??? I'll have to look again. After I lost my power filter and built the closed loop. my stocking plan got stalled.

I hear ya there! I'd LOVE some of the razor ribbon! I found some C. mexican today that I will be putting in the tank, so if you want some once I am ready to harvest let me know - we can swap

Sounds like a plan. If you find any other sources for photosyntetic gorgonians let me know, and I'll do likewise. I'm anxoius to see how your 29 turns out. You have really been doing alot of building and designing on that system and I can't wait to see how it looks.

My 20H seems to finally be doing well for once. I think I finally exorcised the demons in the silcone or something .

I foresee that the tank will get wet ... sooner rather than later, and all will be right with the world.
